A Picture is Worth A Thousand Words: Carpe Diem!!

Digital photography gives us an opportunity to be spontaneous, to capture moments in our lives that with time would otherwise be forgotten. It allows us to capture those silly little moments that fill
our daily lives and yet, in the day of film photography, would not have been taken because the time factor needed to take the picture would have ruined the spontaneity of the moment or the cost of the film and processing, etc. wouldn't have allowed us the luxury to take such frivolous photos.

In fact, it is the spontaneity of digital photography which Sony has used to promote one of it's digital cameras. I am including the link for this article, as I think it really highlights some of the great advantages that digital photography has allotted us.

The pictures I am showing you here are a day in the life of my family. It was the season home opener for the Minnesota Vikings. It was a very balmy September afternoon. I think the greatest thing about pictures is that they can tell a story without a single word being written or they can become the vivid details that enhance a story by making the reader feel like they were there.

Digital cameras can easily be carried in a purse or a pocket, in fact, most phones have digital cameras on them as well. This is another great feature of digital photography is -- it is simply at our fingertips waiting to be used at a moment's notice!

The Vikings won this game in a crazy last minute touchdown!! It was a great game, and the energy in the dome was electric!! Certainly the odds are that in five years from now, I may not remember every detail of the game, but I guarantee you I will remember the game thanks to these photos, and more importantly, I will cherish the memories made the day of game thanks to my digital camera and my cell phone!
